A.W. Survey - Nice survey site
I just want to share this nice survey site I found today.
A.W. Surveys is one of the fastest growing survey sites which is simple and easy. For one, the hassles of account creation are minimized. You only need to provide minimal information, such as those required for payment, and for demography for the surveys which will be given to you. Registration is also open to anybody in the world, as long as payment can reach them.
The earning system involves making money from answering surveys available as soon as you log in to your account. Once logged in you will see a list of surveys for you along with site announcements. The surveys pay anywhere from $1 to $25, plus there is a special $6 welcome bonus for newly registered users. A small credit is also given to those who refer other users to the site, an extra $1.25 is added to your account's earnings. So you see, earning is quite easy, either by taking surveys or referring friends and family! There are always a lot of surveys available, and probably most of your friends and family want to earn money just like you, so you can sign them up to A.W. Surveys!
Payout minimum is at $75, and two options are available, either by US Postal service, only available to US users, or by Paypal, which is available to anyone who is allowed to use the features of Paypal. US Postal service is free but is only available on the US, and takes 4-6 weeks for delivery. Paypal, meanwhile, requires an extra $25 from your account, because of the fees, and is quite speedy. Within 3-5 days the payment arrives on your Paypal account.
So join A.W. Surveys now and start getting paid for your opinion! Click Here To Join Now!

Donate your share to help against world hunger!
Want to know how you can help against world hunger? Read on...
There's this site in which you can play a simple word game, but just through playing you are actually donating! How is that possible?
As you play the game, you answer some word-related questions. If you get one right, you are also donating an extra 10 grains of rice which will go to the UN, which in turn could be used to help against world hunger.
Where do they get the money to buy rice donations? From the site advertisers. You see, the game's questions are loaded on a single page. If you'll look at the bottom of a page, you'll see various ad links. Every time a game page is loaded, the ads are shown, generating revenue for the site in turn. This revenue is what is used for buying rice.
It's that simple. Play, get some right answers, and you help. Imagine if you were to get a lot of right answers? One single correct choice gives an instant 10 grains towards ending poverty. Five answers give an extra 50 grains. 20 answers = 200 grains. 50 answers = 500 grains. 100 answers = 1,000 grains, and so on. You'll have to be really devoted if you want to give a million grains. ;)
So far already 450+ million grains of rice have been donated, and more is adding up each day. Donate your share today!

The Cross To Carry
The Cross To Carry - thanks to Ms. kerstinne25 for this :)
Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine,
after the rain ....
Perhaps you may stumble,
Your sorrows may linger,
throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish,
dawn's early light ....
The Savior is waiting,
after the rain ... "

I Didn't Violate That ****ing Terms!
As you can see at the right, you'll notice the hit counter has changed. Why? Read on.
It all started when I fired up my blog. Lo and behold I saw this red piece of code that states, from my old free counter service, that I violated their terms and therefore, the counter has been disabled.
I said to myself, "What the hell?!" I haven't altered their code at all, so what reason do they have to disable my counter? When I first put the counter code, I just copy-pasted it exactly as they put on their site, and never changed it since. I was so bothered by that crap that I just decided to use a new counter.
My new free counter service is Free-Counter.com... let's just hope it goes alright now.

Back to web design... still busy...
It's been a long time since I took up web design, but now I'm back.
Good thing that my knowledge in the area is still imminent =))
I started studying web design just last summer. And during that same time I had some practice by creating two different sites: my own site, and my class's site, the 2-Simplicity website.
After that I took a long silence from web design. Those two sites never got updated for a long time. Well, now I'm back, and I'm planning to improve those two sites greatly. It's what I call "V2" time =D
With more software on my arsenal(lol), such as Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop and 3 GIF animators =D, I should be able to make better web pages.
For those who are willing to wait, then wait. I just hope the wait will be worth it =))
And as you can see now, I do have a lot of work on my hands. Another reason I don't blog often. =D Yet, I'm sure of the money-making possibilities with AdSense as long as posts keep being crawled, and relevant ads keep being displayed. And I sure do hope people click on them. =))
P.S. - I only know HTML. I don't have any knowledge on server-side languages such as PHP, Pearl, Java and many more =D Heck I don't even know XHTML =))

Rock 'n' Roll Nostalgia
If you haven't heard about this Pinoy band you outta know now.
Ever heard of The Bloomfields? You know... that new band which is great at rock 'n' roll music?
They're one great band, comprised of 5 members, and they really can rock 'n' roll. The members are Rocky Callado, on drums and vocals; Louie Poco, on bass and vocals; Lakan Hila, on keyboards and vocals; Jay Jay Lozano, on guitars, synth and vocals; and Pepe Lozano, Jay Jay's brother, on guitars and vocals. As you can see, all of them have good vocal skills. In most of their songs in fact, they have great vocal harmony, which would probably remind you of some of those great band legends like The Beatles.
They have released their first, self-titled album a few months ago, which is filled with both old and their original songs. The old hits include some great tunes like, "If I Fell", "At The Hop", "Never Let Her Slip Away", and a lot more. They also put in their original compositions, both Tagalog and English lyrics, such as "Wala Nang Iba", "Say You Do", and many more. For a good price, you can get the CD in record outlets here in the Philippines, and it is a great deal, leaving you listening to them for hours, like me, and giving some of that awesome rock 'n' roll nostalgia...
They have also performed in a lot of concerts, and they also now have 2 music videos, one for "Ale" and one for "Wala Nang Iba". You can find their music videos and concert vidoes in YouTube. Just do a search on their band and see what you can find.
They even have their own spot on the 'Net. Check it out on this link, or type this in your address bar: http://www.thebloomfieldsband.com. It's full of pics, gig schedules, band profile and a lot more.
I hope I have supplied you with enough Bloomfields info for now. Enjoy and keep on rockin' and rollin'!

Overview on Making Money Online
Ok, for those who are pondering on or are curious making money online, come in.
How'd you like to be able to make money just by sitting at home, and doing it right in front of computer? For me, I like the idea. Especially now that there are lots of sites which offer making money online, the opportunities are varied, from clicking links, reading e-mails and even blogging.
You can make money by publishing advertisements to your site or blog. There are sites which give you those kinds of opportunities. Services such as Google Adsense, BidVertiser and others give you this opportunity for free. I have posted something about Adsense here. Please look it up. :)
Lots of sites on the Internet, I have seen, are now focused on giving a free service which allow people to make money simply by clicking and reading ads, or e-mail. The latter I don't recommend; usually you'll be flooded with e-mails if you sign up to those kinds of services, which is a bummer especially if you have limited e-mail space and your e-mail account doesn't have a Junk folder.
There are many sites I have signed up for making money online. Even though it isn't paying yet, I have trust and confidence in these sites that I will earn with them. For those sites, I have listed them on the right side of the site. You can sign up to any of them. Enjoy! :)
Making money online is easy, once you get the hang of it. It is an opportunity for anyone who has computer and internet access, a student, at-home moms, even retired people. All you need is patience and time.
To our success!

Not been blogging lately... =D
Long time no blog... I wonder why...?
Well there's a perfectly good reason for that...
For one, been busy doing photoshop requests, both in Symbianize and outside of it =D and learning some Dreamweaver and Flash along the way to redo the 2-Simplicity, my class, website... sigh.. I forgot about that.
Anyway, it's very cold here. A supertyphoon just hit the country... but the good news is there have been no classes for half of the school week! XD
I have to pause here for now... maybe when I find a good time I'll have a long post underway =D

Stressed Out!!
WWWAAAAAHHH!!! Too much work!! I wish I could scream everything out!
Well, no, not really. But my fingers are too hyped up typing that I thought I'd get the hype out of it by blogging... here goes.
Well I've been busy the past week. Lots of things worrying me.. Investigatory Project... other projects... Photoshop requests... sigh... I'm beat.
Since the weekend's coming I better relax for a while... maybe you should too. :D
(Where the heck did I put the Diablo CD?)

Symbianize Reps
I dunno why but it really seems ironic that everytime I expect to get some extra reputation for my posts in Symbianize, I don't, but when I just help out casually, I get an increase in reputation. I don't know why but it often happens.
Just a thought. :)

It's Cramming Time
I really need to blow off some steam, so that's why I am blogging, again.
Blogging isn't just a stress-reliever for me, it's a hobby. But right now I consider it a stress-reliever. Have too much work to do, and I don't think I can finish it all in time.
Wonder what that "work" is? Photoshop requests, school projects, a news article, to name a few. And boy, do I have to relearn the basics of cramming, hehehe..
I used to cram before, that was when I was lazy. And when I say lazy, I mean laaaaaaazzzzzyyyy...... but I've managed to break the habit, yet I have to redo it again this time, at least only for now, I have to do lots of work. If I don't do so, most likely I won't be finished with any at all.
Well, I still have more work to do, and I guess this is where I stop typing, for now.

Some Photoshop Techniques
How would you like me to share some Photoshop techniques I use in my image creations? Well, look no further, and get your notebook, 'coz it's time for Photoshop techniques 101.
1. Use a good version of Photoshop
First of all, I recommend you to use a version which has features you'll use, and a version which
your PC can handle. I don't recommend the latest version, CS3, since it's still buggy, even though it's
Vista-compatible. The version I use is CS2, and even though it runs a bit sluggish on my machine, it
works. But if your PC can't handle CS2, try CS1(or CS) instead.
2. Use gradients.
I find the usage of gradients in background provides a nice effect. If you have a base picture/image, you can get your colors there, either by mixing your own or using the eyedropper tool. If not, you can use some of the preset colors(found on the toolbar directly under the menu bar. It shows up if you select the gradient tool itself.).
3. Use Layer Styles
Another neat technique is the usage of layer styles in Photoshop. If you've been hiding in a rock for some reason, you can find a submenu named "Layer Styles" in the "Layer" menu. It allows you to have anywhere from transparent effects to emboss effects to your layers. Use in conjunction with multiple-layered *.psd documents.
4. Use Filters
Those Photoshop filters aren't only for wasting RAM, they're for adding some neat touch-ups to your image. For instance, I love using the Render > Lens Flare effect. Try experimenting for yourself. :D
5. Have a Good "Base Image"
Oftentimes when you're making a Photoshop image you won't have much idea on its concept. Well a good tip is to search for an image you will base this Photoshop image. Google, Yahoo, and probably others have an image-searching service, and other interesting sites you may find with pics could be useful. Conclusion: everytime you see an image worth scrutinizing, start up Photoshop and make an image out of it!
Well, that's it for the tips. I'll give ya guys more Photoshop techniques, once I learn them(heh)

Creating Userbars with Photoshop.
Lately, I've been having fun making userbars(little bars you can add to your forum signature or website, usually describing favorites or interests.), ever since I've learned making them(and a bit of Photoshop too.)
Check this site out for a free userbar tutorial(which I read). Very informative. Trust me.

Mastery Exams Almost Over
Well... just 2 more exams left and I can finally lay down again... and why bother reviewing?
No, not really. I'm still gonna review for P.E. and Health... since that's my last chance to get a high result on a mastery exam.. oh well. That's 'coz most of my exams were... well, you get the idea.
In other news... my PS skills seem to be improving. Been making new userbars in my Photoshop CS2. And my Windows XP Pro Student Edition download is almost done. Finally, 570+ MBs of data done. Now all I need is a CD-RW drive(lol)
It's fun playing an old Win95 game... trust me. Try Diablo. It's one of the best, even though old.

Google AdSense on My Blog
It's great being able to make money with my blog. How? Through Google AdSense.
Those Google ads you see on the right and at the bottom of the page are making me money for every click my blog viewers make. Indeed, Adsense is a great way to make money with a site or blog.
And ad impressions/clicks aren't the only way to make money with them. The search box is not only a great add-on tool on my blog, but it makes some extra cash for each search result you may find useful.
Since I just signed up for AdSense I may not expect some good results now, but I will. I just know it's a promising opportunity.
How do I make money with AdSense? I get paid either by CPM(Cost per Mille/Thousand/Impression), or for each unique, valid click on the ads.
CPM refers to the impressions I may display on the site. That is, how many times it is shown. More site/blog viewers mean more impressions. CPM rates vary, according to Google, so earnings can be high or low for CPM advertising. See-saw effect, eh?
Of course, there is earnings to be expected for actual clicks on the ads. I get paid for each valid, unique click on the ads. That means each unique user that clicks on the ads qualifies as additional earnings to my AdSense account.
That's why AdSense is a good choice for most publishers who are looking to use their vacant site/blog space that is an advertising opportunity.

More Work.. sigh..
So a lot's been keeping me busy at the moment... 5k007work... website design(mine and 2-S's)... Photoshop work... I need a break.
Right... so I, I NEED a break? Right... lol.
I was never really the type who takes a break during work... well, not really. But seriously, whenever I start on something I am willing to do, I do it all the way.
And now... I still have a message to send... so I bid you adieu... :D

Too Busy Photoshopping
So... you're skeptical that I am a Photoshop n00b? Well, I WAS. Not at least, until I taught myself Photoshop.
Heh... Photoshop isn't easy, let me tell you. Sure, I made my own blog logo, I made my own Friendster background, I made a few userbars, and I'm not going to brag about the rest soooo... back to the topic.
Well, now that the people at 5k001(note the 13375p34k spelling) know about my (still n00b15h™, really) Photoshop skillz... they made some requests.. so after the mastery exams I will work on those...
http://www.tutorialized.com has some neat tutorials for you. :D

Mastery Exams Comin' Up
Just because I'm too smart doesn't mean I shouldn't worry about the upcoming mastery exams in class...
Yeah, I'm a nerd, but I can't take this lying around. Trust me. I've had experience on this one... a very bad one. So screw me if I do it again. (Note: I don't really wanna talk about that "incident" sooo....)
And if you're one of my classmates, I suggest you shut down your computer now and start studying.
Introduction
